We have reenabled Linden transactions from within the viewer.
However, PayPal is having issues processing LindeX transactions from the web. We are working with PayPal to resolve the issue.
Also, LindeX transactions using credit cards are slow, but the transactions should complete. If it doesn’t complete for some reason, please retry.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to resolve these issues promptly.

Official press release: Linden Lab has aquired a graphics technology from Boston-based Windward Mark Interactive for rendering more realistic clouds and athmospheric settings. Linden Lab will open source the technology and also adding it to the Second Life Viewer. This should bring more photorealistic islands to all of us.

All (German?) SL residents can now get real life freebies by stepping by at the Deutsche Post Tower on Post Island. All you have to do is to touch the TESTBOX screen in the entrance hall. You will then receive a free (yes FREE - you dont have to buy linden!) TESTBOX with various product samples.
There will be TESTBOXes with varying monthly themes like wellness, entertainment, cosmetics (etc) and they will be shipped free of charge to your home address. The current one is labeled “My Summertime” and it could be yours - no exchange necessary. So be surprised!

The percentage of residents in Second Life, who generate a positive monthly cash flow is up to 25,6 %. This is the highest value since monitoring the results of buying and selling Linden Dollars.
Although the absolute amount of positive cashflow is low, the total number of residents who generate more than 5.000 US$ is increasing over proportional.
